Gluten-Free Baked Ziti with Ricotta and Mozzarella

A gluten-free version of classic baked ziti with creamy ricotta and melted mozzarella.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz gluten-free ziti pasta
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 oz gluten-free marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, Parmesan, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara in a baking dish.
  5. Add half the pasta, then spread the ricotta mixture over it.
  6. Top with remaining pasta and the rest of the marinara.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly on top.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use certified gluten-free pasta to avoid cross-contamination.
  • For extra flavor, add sautéed onions or garlic to the ricotta mix.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
